I’m new to microdosing. Which product should I take?

Can microdosing treat my depression/anxiety?

Why am I feeling hot and itchy after taking Brain Formula?

You're likely feeling the “Niacin Flush.” It's very rare that this happens as Brain Formula only contains 50mg of Niacin. But it's important to know that Niacin may cause redness, tingling, heat and itchiness in areas of the skin for some people. You can websearch “Niacin Flush”to learn more. Although it is temporarily uncomfortable, it is totally safe. If you experience this feeling while taking Brain Formula, you can reduce your intake of Niacin in other forms (multivitamins, food, etc). Post-menopausal women seem to be most likely to experience a sensitivity to Niacin.

Why does it say take away from caffeine?

NeuroBotanicals suggests taking your dose away from coffee because users report that it momentarily increases anxiety. If your not concerned with anxiety, there is no other issue with microdosing and caffiene, as far as we know.

Do I have to take my dose with food?

You don’t have to take your dose with food. NeuroBotanicals suggests this because the effects are typically more potent when consumed on an empty stomach. This could especially be an issue for sensitive users or those struggling with anxiety. But there is no harm in dosing while fasted.

Should my dose be 50mg or 100mg?

This differs from person to person and depends on several factors. 50mg of a quality microdose product is a good place to start. You can see how you feel and then try 50mg in the morning and 50mg in the afternoon, or 100mg at a time.

The potency of the mushrooms, age of the product, synergy of the other ingredients are a few factors along with personal considerations like sensitivity to psilocybin (which has nothing to do with your weight), hormones, diet, sleep, stress, caffeine etc that can all change the effects. So there is no one size fits all. Start low and go slow.
